Panel Technician
Custom Paintworx is a well-established body shop specialising in insurance, retail, trade, restoration, and custom paintwork. We’re looking for an experienced Vehicle Panel Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accident repair and restoration, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to producing high-quality workmanship.
You’ll be working as part of a close-knit team on a wide variety of vehicles — from everyday cars to high-end restorations — in a modern, well-equipped workshop.
Responsibilities
Carry out panel repairs, replacements, and alignments to the highest standard.
Strip and refit vehicle components as required for body repairs.
Assess damage and determine appropriate repair methods.
Ensure all work meets manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
Work closely with paint and mechanical teams to ensure smooth workflow and job completion.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Vehicle Panel Technician, Body Repairer, or similar role.
Strong knowledge of vehicle structures, panel repair techniques, and body filler application.
Ability to use welding, bonding, and alignment equipment safely and effectively.
Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Full UK driving licence.
ATA or NVQ Level 3 qualification preferred (but not essential if experienced).
